Financial Aid & Scholarships
We believe cost should never prevent a motivated student from building something real. Loona offers a limited number of need-based financial aid awards each program cycle to help make that possible.
What to Know
- •Financial aid is need-based and awarded to families who would not otherwise be able to participate.
- •A limited number of awards are available each program cycle. Awards are not guaranteed.
- •Awards vary and may cover partial or full tuition depending on demonstrated need and available funds.
- •You do not need to wait for a financial aid decision before applying to a program. We encourage you to apply to your program of interest at the same time.
How to Request Financial Aid
Send an email to financialaid@buildloona.com with the following information:
1. Student and program information
Student's full name, grade, school, and which Loona program they are applying to or interested in.
2. Brief statement of financial need
A few paragraphs from the student or parent explaining why financial assistance is needed. No tax documents or detailed financial statements are required.
3. Household information
Approximate household size and income range (e.g. under $40K, $40-75K, $75-100K). If the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch at school, please mention that as well.
4. Parent or guardian contact
A parent or guardian name and email address. The email should be sent by or co-signed by a parent/guardian.
What Happens Next
Financial aid requests are reviewed alongside program applications. If your request is approved, the award amount will be applied to your tuition at the time of acceptance. You'll see the adjusted cost in your dashboard and acceptance email.
